Hello,I am running an HP MicroServer N54L with a 480GB SanDisk Ultra II SSD (single drive, no RAID, no other disks), and 16GB of RAM. I have 5 Linux guests (2 CentOS 7, 3 Ubuntu Server 16.04). I very regularly get messages in the 'Monitor' section of the Datastore saying 'Lost access to volume xxx due to connectivity issues.
Recovery attempt is in progress and outcome will be reported shortly.' Along with 'performance has deteriorated' and 'performance has improved' messages. I'm not doing anything on any of the VMs that is disk intensive, and this can be seen by simply running yum update or apt-get update simultaneously on more than 2 VMs.

With the recent release of vSphere 6.7 many of us who built home lab environments just hit a dead end on the upgrades due to CPU incompatibilities. Taking the fact that some of us have built quite extensive versions of the labs with rather expensive equipment, it makes a situation even more.
The system appears to hang for a few seconds, and finally picks up.Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might improve the disk performance? I understand there is a custom (non-official) BIOS for the N54L that improves SATA performance, but I have not yet tried it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

On a side note, the CPU and memory utilization with all 5 guests running is well within limits.
